I'm a Mormon, Flight Nurse, and Strong Rock in Tragedy

There is someone who takes away the pain
The burden... when a loved one is gone
Knowing they can be with them again
Gives me comfort and courage to go on

Knowing families can be forever
Gives me the courage to fly
Trusting in God through each endeavor
Knowing death's not really good bye

Why Mormons Build Temples

The temple lifts us
To where we can see
The path of Jesus
Bright and heavenly

In its Gleaming Glory

In its gleaming glory
The temple beckons us
Promising the weary
A place of peace and rest

The House of the Lord
Is for the homeward bound
As with all its splendor
Heaven on earth is found

thoughts from
quotes from President Thomas S. Monson
In the special temple Ensign, October 2010, 10

We Look to the Apostles

We look to the Apostles,
For a witness of Christ.
Then we stand as disciples
And we too testify.
At all times, things and places,
We show our commitment.
And faith shines on our faces
With love and contentment.

Today, what is sufficient?
What can we rejoice in?
Though we've disappointment
and trials of death and sin?
We know what source to look to,
For our eternal rest.
As we testify anew,
Warmth grows within our breast.

Now, as we anticipate
The coming of our Lord.
We can prepare for that date.
With words angels record
All testimonies- they hear!
And, too, rejoice o'er us.
What we hold in us is dear.
There's light in our witness.

But, what of those who've died?
And, not made ordinance?
What to them can be applied
?
Who've not received a chance?
We have a holy temple
Where their work we can do.
There, we set an example,
Our light is for them too

All Over the World, there are Good Latter-Day Saints

All over the world, there are good Latter- Day Saints.
As truths are unfurled, faith abounds unrestrained.
Though there are drought conditions we find living waters.
That our homes can be safe midst precarious matters.

The gospel teaches us how to increase our faith.
If we but listen, the Prophet teaches the way.
When we've the Spirit, we serve and lengthen our stride.
From temple's beacon, we're bright, no longer to hide.

When we feel weighed down, we can increase faith and prayer.
We emphasize love, we reflect and feel aware.
When we reach crossroads, we'll follow Christ and not fear.
He'll share our burdens and make them easy to bear.
